Consultancy opportunity: Comparative analysis of sustainable shrimp aquaculture in Indonesia
Are you an expert in sustainable aquaculture with experience in Indonesia’s shrimp sector?
Wetlands International is seeking a consultant to lead a comparative analysis of sustainable shrimp aquaculture models and programmes across Indonesia. This exciting assignment will explore how different approaches perform environmentally, socially and economically, identify scalable and financially viable business models, and generate practical recommendations to support future investment and policy development.
Working closely with our Coasts & Deltas team, you will:
- Review and compare sustainable shrimp aquaculture initiatives across Indonesia;
- Conduct stakeholder interviews with government, private sector, NGOs and researchers;
- Assess business viability, scalability and policy relevance;
- Produce a high-quality comparative report with actionable recommendations.
We are looking for a consultant with:
- Strong knowledge of Indonesia’s shrimp aquaculture sector;
- Experience in comparative research, programme evaluation or market analysis;
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills;
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
